The mog's bollocks.
Well here's a story I wasn't expecting to write when I got up this morning: Zenless Zone Zero's notorious jiggle physics have struck again, only not like that. Eagle-eyed fans have discovered that, following the gacha game's latest update, its ambient cats now stroll gamely about the place with their testicles wiggling majestically from side to side.

Digital Foundry | DF Weekly: if the Xbox handheld is years away, what's the point of Project Kennan?
A crucial first step in bringing Windows and Xbox together.
According to Microsoft's Phil Spencer, the highly anticipated Xbox handheld is "several years out" and only exists in prototype form, so what should we make of last week's news that actually, we may see a handheld later on this year? Leaks are suggesting that Microsoft has put together some kind of OEM device proposition, with Asus lined up to produce the first 'Project Kennan' handheld. In my opinion, expectations from this device should be tempered and we should think of it more as one further step down the road that'll see Xbox merge in some way with Windows - a significant undertaking, but a crucial one that needs to be proved out and battle-hardened before next generation hardware arrives in the next few years.

Feature | The story behind the Oblivion mod Terry Pratchett worked on
We revisit one of our favourite stories as 10 years without Terry go by.
This week, we passed the 10-year anniversary of beloved fantasy author Terry Pratchett passing away - a person whose influence spread wider than the fiction he wrote. A person whose influence we can feel in places still. Places like The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, a remake of which is apparently imminent.

Digital Foundry | Grand Theft Auto 5's PC RT enhancements hint at GTA 6 features
Ray traced global illumination in the upgrade has much in common with GTA 6 tech.
Grand Theft Auto 5 on PC has finally received the RT upgrades to achieve feature parity with the current generation console versions, almost three years since they arrived on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. The wait was worth it as scalability is impressive and the game also includes the ability to toggle ray traced global illumination - which may well hint at the kind of RT features we can expect to see in the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6.

Digital Foundry | 1.6Gbps broadband reviewed: is multi-gig internet worth upgrading for?
It's expensive and kit-heavy, but I'm not going back.
Early last year, the first widely available multi-gig broadband was announced for the UK market, offering download speeds up to 1.6Gbps over the Openreach FTTP network. As an irredeemable nerd who gets overexcited at the prospect of a download progress bar reaching heretofore unseen speeds, I knew that I had to try it out to see if it actually offered a noticeable improvement over the more readily available 900Mbps BT service I had before. Would there be a tangible benefit for gaming, content creation and downloading Linux ISOs?

Digital Foundry | Intel Arc B570 review: a budget GPU that's too good to be true?
Excellent hardware, but performance issues in combination with less powerful CPUs.
Intel's Arc B580 graphics card impressed us a few months back, thanks to genuinely decent performance with plenty of VRAM at a mainstream price, but we never got around to reviewing the even cheaper B570 model - until now. That might not be such a bad thing though, as it's meant that we could spend some real time using this GPU as it's meant to be used, get an idea of availability and run some extra tests on the driver overhead issues identified by the tech press post-launch.

Now Playing | Fragpunk could be brilliant, if it wasn't so obsessed with being a hyper-rewarding slot machine
Cashbang.
In a lot of ways, Fragpunk is much better than I expected it to be. BIG HEAD MODE! GIVE THEM BIG HEADS!!!!"
