Where to find Gillopod in Monster Hunter Wilds
How to find and catch a Gillopod.
Gillopod in Monster Hunter Wilds are a type of Endemic Life you can find and capture during your adventure.
You'll need to capture this creature for a late-game quest in Chapter 5, so knowing where to look for them will come in handy in Monster Hunter Wilds. Not to be mistaken with their smaller relatives Pillopods, Gillopods are twice the size and have red/orange eyes.
On that note, here's where to find a Gillopod in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Where to find a Gillopod in Monster Hunter Wilds
In Monster Hunter Wilds you can find Gillopods in the Ruins of Wyveria region.
We've had the most luck finding Gillopod on the walls of Area 8 in Wyveria in the season of Plenty, opposite the cave where you can set up a Pop-Up Camp. We've marked the location on the map below for you too:
To catch a Gillopod you simply need to equip your Capture Net from your inventory, then aim it and fire it at the Gillopod on the wall once the rectangle in the middle of your screen goes darker (this tells you the target is in range.)
You can look across the rest of Wyveria for this creature, but the area we've mentioned above is where we've consistently found them. If they don't spawn for you, then try changing the time of day to Morning or Daytime.
