How to get Herbivore Shell in Monster Hunter Wilds

Herbivore Shell is one of the many useful materials you can get from monster drops in Monster Hunter Wilds.

Just like other materials, you can only get Herbivore Shell by hunting a specific monster that offers it as a reward in Monster Hunter Wilds. It's also worth keeping in mind that you're not always guaranteed to get Herbivore Shell, even if you hunt the correct monster, as there's only a chance that they drop Herbivore Shell.

How to get Herbivore Shell in Monster Hunter Wilds

You get Herbivore Shell by killing the Small Monster Ceratonoth in Monster Hunter Wilds. It doesn't matter if the Ceratonoth is male or female, as both can drop the Herbivore Shell material.

Ceratonoth are found in the Plains region, and we've found that they're more likely to appear around area 13, near the Oasis landmark in the middle.

Unlike some materials which can be grabbed using your Slinger, you'll need to eliminate any Ceratonoth you come across in order to potentially add some Herbivore Shell to your inventory.

Remember, you're not guaranteed to get Herbivore Shell by killing Ceratonoth, as there's only a chance they drop Herbivore Shell. And it's also worth keeping in mind that Herbivore Shell can only be obtained at Low Rank, as you get Herbivore Carapace from killing High Rank Ceratonoth instead.
