Giant Vigorwasp is an Endemic Life creature found in the Plains, Forest, and Wyveria regions of Monster Hunter Wilds.

Not to be confused with the ordinary Vigorwasp, Giant Vigorwasps aren't used to craft anything - but you do need to collect them for certain other tasks, like the A Gutsy Move side quest in Monster Hunter Wilds.

To help you get some of these glowing creatures as soon as possible, we've explained exactly where to find Giant Vigorwasp in Monster Hunter Wilds, and how to catch Giant Vigorwasp once you locate them.

Where to find Giant Vigorwasp in Monster Hunter Wilds

While you can find them across the Plains, Forest, and Wyveria regions, Giant Vigorwasps are most commonly found around areas 10 and 13 of the Plains region in Monster Hunter Wilds. The Oasis area around area 10 of the Plains is particularly good if you're after multiple Giant Vigorwasps.

However, do keep in mind that you must be in the Plenty season for the giant variety to appear. Otherwise, you'll just see the ordinary type of Vigorwasps. Check out our season page for details on how to change it to Plenty.

For more locations, we've found that selecting Giant Vigorwasps from the 'Filter Icons' submenu of the map is the best way to quickly search for them.

How to catch Giant Vigorwasp in Monster Hunter Wilds

Unlike the Large Monsters you hunt, you need to use the Capture Net to catch Giant Vigorwasps in Monster Hunter Wilds. Remember, do not press the button to use your Slinger near a Giant Vigorwasp, or it will explode, and you'll miss out on adding one to your collection.

We also recommend you equip the Ghillie Mantle before slowly approaching a Giant Vigorwasp, as they might fly away if they spot you coming, and you need to get pretty close for your net to successfully capture a Giant Vigorwasp.

If you happen to find a pair or trio of Giant Vigorwasps, make sure you quickly catch the next ones beside the first Giant Vigorwasp you capture, or the others might fly away!

The Capture Net and Ghillie Mantle can be selected from your items menu, or from one of the radial menus where you have them set to, like the pre-made Fixed-Items one.
