Beyond the Deluge is the final main mission for Chapter One of Monster Hunter Wilds and wraps up your story in the Forest before moving further afield when Chapter Two starts with Toward Fervent Fields.
While Beyond the Deluge may look like a short Monster Hunter Wilds mission though, it sees you dealing with the Uth Duna. This watery monster is the Apex of the Forest region, so don't expect it to treat you kindly.

Monster Hunter Wilds Beyond the Deluge walkthrough
Beyond the Deluge begins with you heading into the depths of the Scarlet Forest in Monster Hunter Wilds. Your mission? Find Erik and Olivia. Which is probably a good thing because you'll find them fighting the Uth Duna.
Interestingly, the game doesn't task you with hunting the Uth Duna. Instead, you need to repel it. Though this is done by fighting the Uth Duna just like if you were fighting it and travelling between locations. Eventually the Uth Duna decides it's had enough of this human nonsense though and will leave you alone. Sadly for the Uth Duna, another creature has different plans…

If you're having trouble with this monster though, we recommend ensuring your loadout is focused around dealing Thunder elemental damage as the Uth Duna is weak to this element. On the other hand, make sure you're avoiding any Water-based equipment or attacks as Uth Duna is resistant to water. (Not surprising - it seems to be a fan.) Nulberries will also remove the Waterblight effect and pay attention to your surroundings during the fight's final stage - there's some nearby ruins you can collapse onto the Uth Duna for extra damage.
While it's an optional task, we highly recommend carving up the Uth Duna to get some useful materials from its corpse. With those in hand, talk to Olivia to begin the mission to a close.
For completing Beyond the Deluge, you'll receive 10 Mega Potions, five Herbal Medicine, 20 Guild Points, the pop-up camp limit for the Forest will be increased, the Shadow in the Downpour award, two new titles, Tasteful Threads: Wine Red nameplate and Woven Waves background.
It's now time for the last inter-mission of Chapter One, entitled A Looming Shadow. The game will mention doing preparations, but you won't be fighting any monsters again until you arrive in your next location - it's just cutscenes and auto-Seikret-traveling. For now, you simply need to talk to Alma and head out to meet the Wudwuds.
