There's an arachnophobia setting in Monster Hunter Wilds which turns specific endemic life and monsters into indistinct shapes instead of their original designs.

You do get an option to turn this setting on when you start a brand new save file in Monster Hunter Wilds. However, if you miss this, then there's always an alternative way to access this setting if you decide you want it turned on at a later point in your adventure.

On that note, here's how to turn on the arachnophobia setting in Monster Hunter Wilds.

How to turn on arachnophobia setting in Monster Hunter Wilds

To turn on the arachnophobia setting in Monster Hunter Wilds you need to enter the 'Options' menu that appears on the main screen before you enter your game. You cannot toggle this setting once you're in game and it must be done before you load a save file.

In the options menu, navigate to the 'Accessibility' tab and select the 'Arachnophobia Assistance' option.

Toggle the option to 'On' if you want to activate this setting. It will turn some of the creatures you'll encounter into indistinct shapes.

However, it's worth mentioning that the larger spider-like monsters aren't dampened too much by this setting. If you want to add on another layer that will really remove any likeness from these creatures, then there's an arachnophobia mod that mostly covers the spider-like features of the bigger monsters.

It's important to note that this setting won't impact the difficulty or abilities of creatures, it will just change their appearance.
