How to add decorations in Monster Hunter Wilds
Where to add decorations and remove them.
Decorations in Monster Hunter Wilds are small additions you can make to your armor or weapons that will give them minor (or major) stat boosts that will enhance the piece they're equipped to.
You'll unlock the ability to collect and use decorations in Monster Hunter Wilds by completing 'The Faithful Keepers' main story quest in Chapter 3. We highly recommend taking some time to understand and equip these items to your equipment, every little boost helps when it comes to the larger monsters you'll fight.

How to add decorations in Monster Hunter Wilds
To add decorations in Monster Hunter Wilds you need to speak to Gemma at The Smithy and select the 'Change Equipment' option in the equipment menu. Don't select the 'View/Sell Decorations' option, this won't let you apply them to your Hunter.
This will bring you out to a detailed menu screen where each individual piece of your currently equipped armor and weaponry will be listed on the left side of the screen.
Highlight the armor or weapon you want to add a decoration to, then look at the bottom of your screen and you should see a prompt command next to 'Edit Decorations'. Follow this command prompt.
Then, all you need to do is select a slot to put the decoration in and this will be displayed on the left side of your screen too.
Once you've picked a slot, use your action button to 'confirm' this is the slot you want to use. This will then bring up a list of the decorations you currently own and can be used on this piece.
Now all you have to do is select the decoration you want to apply to that piece of equipment and confirm your selection, it will then be permanently added to that piece until you want to remove it.
How to remove decorations in Monster Hunter Wilds
To remove decorations in Monster Hunter Wilds you need to speak to Gemma at The Smithy and select the 'Change Equipment' option in the equipment menu.

Highlight the armor or weapon you want to remove the decoration from, then look at the bottom of your screen and you should see a prompt command next to 'Edit Decorations'. Follow this command prompt.
Select the decoration you want to remove from the list that appears on the left side of the screen and then use the command prompt at the bottom of the screen next to 'Remove Decorations' to instantly unequip it from that piece. It will return to your inventory.
