Castorice is a 5-Star Quantum character of The Remembrance path likely coming to Honkai: Star Rail in version 3.2.
While Castorice will likely be featured as the boosted 5-Star character on her Banner in version 3.2, she will eventually return to Honkai: Star Rail at some point in the future when the Banner schedule cycles back to her.
If you want to prepare for her, we've detailed reliable leaks of Castorice's Ascension materials and Trace materials so you can level her up to her full potential right away. To understand how you might play her, we've also detailed what we know about Castorice's kit and Eidolons.
Keep in mind that this is leaked beta information, so Castorice's materials and kit might change upon her official release.

Castorice's kit
Castorice is a 5-Star Quantum character of The Remembrance path, and keeping in mind that this is leaked beta information from honeyhunterworld that could change upon her official release, and that all of the percentages mentioned below are based on Level 1 Traces, here's a summary of Castorice's kit in Honkai Star Rail:
- Element: Quantum.
- Path: The Remembrance.
- Rarity: 5-Star.
- Basic Attack: Lament, Deadsea's Ripple - Deals Quantum Damage equal to 25% of Castorice's Max HP to one designated enemy.
- Unique Support Skill: Sanctuary of Mooncocoon - After obtaining Castorice or when Castorice is in the current team, receive the following effect: In battle, when an ally character receives a killing blow, all allies that received a killing blow in this action enter the Mooncocoon state. Characters in Mooncocoon temporarily delay becoming downed and can take one action normally. After the action, if they receive healing or have a Shield before their next turn, Mooncocoon is removed. Otherwise, they will be downed immediately. This effect can be triggered one time per battle.
- Skill: Silence, Wraithfly's Caress - Consumes 40% of all allies' current HP. Deals Quantum Damage equal to 25% of Castorice's Max HP to one designated enemy and Quantum Damage equal to 15% of Castorice's Max HP to adjacent targets. If current HP is insufficient, this ability will reduce HP to one. If Deathwing is on the battlefield, this Skill becomes 'Boneclaw, Doomdrake's Embrace' instead.
- Enhanced Skill: Boneclaw, Doomdrake's Embrace - Consumes 50% of all allies' (except Deathwing's) current HP. Castorice and Deathwing launch a Joint Attack on the target and deal Quantum Damage equal to 12% and 21% of Castorice's Max HP. If current HP is insufficient, using the ability will reduce HP to one.
- Talent (passive ability): Desolation Across Palms - 'Newbud's' maximum is equal to 100 times the sum of all characters' levels on the battlefield. For each point of HP lost by all allies, Castorice gains one point of 'Newbud'. Increases Castorice's and Deathwing's damage dealt by 10%. This effect can stack up to three times, lasting for three turns. When 'Newbud' reaches its maximum, Castorice's Ultimate can be used. When Deathwing is on the field, 'Newbud' cannot be gained, and for each point of HP lost by all allies (except Deathwing), Deathwing recovers equal amount of HP.
- Technique (overworld ability): Wail, Death's Herald - Castorice enters the 'Netherveil' state that lasts for 20 seconds. While 'Netherveil' is active, enemies are unable to approach Castorice on their own. While in the 'Netherveil' state, attacking will cause all enemies within range to enter combat. At the same time, summons the memosprite Deathwing. Deathwing starts with current HP equal to 50% of max 'Newbud'. After entering battle, consumes 40% of all allies' current HP and advances Deathwing's action by 100%. After entering battle and before summoning Deathwing, Castorice gains 'Newbud' equal to 30% of maximum 'Newbud'.
- Ultimate (Summon): Doomshriek, Dawn's Chime - Summons the memosprite Deathwing and advances its action by 100%. At the same time, creates the Territory 'Lost Netherland', which decreases all enemies' All-Type Resistance by 10%. If the Damage Boost effect from Castorice's Talent is active, the effect is extended to Deathwing. Deathwing has 140 Speed and a set Max HP equal to 100% of max 'Newbud'. After Deathwing acts three times or when its HP is zero, it disappears and dispels the Territory 'Lost Netherland'.
- Memosprite Skill 1 (Summon): Claw Splits the Veil - Deals Quantum Damage equal to 15% of Castorice's Max HP to all enemies.
- Memosprite Skill 2 (Summon): Breath Scorches the Shadow - Consumes HP equal to 25% of Deathwing's max HP and deals Quantum Damage to all enemies equal to 15% / 17% / 19% of Castorice's Max HP. When HP is insufficient, it will drop to a limit of one and using this ability will not end the turn. Using this ability repeatedly will enhance it, lasting until the Deathwing disappears. When HP is less than or equal to 25%, using this ability will actively trigger the Talent ability effect of 'Wings Sweep the Ruins'.
- Memosprite Talent 1 (Summon): Mooncocoon Shrouds the Form - When Deathwing is on the field, it acts as backup for allies. When allies take damage, their current HP can be reduced to a minimum of one, after which Deathwing will bear the damage received at 500% of the original damage until Deathwing disappears.
- Memosprite Talent 2 (Summon): Roar Rumbles the Realm - When Deathwing is summoned, increases damage dealt by all allies by 10% for two turns.
- Memosprite Talent 3 (Summon): Wings Sweep the Ruins - When Deathwing disappears, deals six instances of damage, with every instance dealing Quantum Damage equal to 25% of Castorice's Max HP to one random enemy unit.
- Bonus Trace 1: Where The West Wind Dwells - When Deathwing disappears, restores HP for all allies equal to 10% of Castorice's Max HP plus 250.
- Bonus Trace 2: Inverted Torch - While Deathwing is not on the field, 100% of excess healing for each ally target will restore an equal amount of 'Newbud'. While Deathwing is on the field, the excess healing will restore an equal amount of HP for Deathwing. Each restoration cannot exceed 15% of max 'Newbud' / Deathwing's Max HP.
- Bonus Trace 3: Contained Dark Tide - While Castorice or Dead Dragon's respective HP is at 50% or higher, increases their respective Speed by 40%.
